1: DELIVERY/PICKUP POLICY
Delivery & postage (native bee products only) is available, however cost varies, please contact us to obtain a quote. Thank you for your understanding. Pickup is free! Please see the Terms & Conditions for the entire Store Delivery policy. * Pickup is by appointment only.
2: PAYMENT POLICY
We accept all major credit/debit cards. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required within 48hrs of being invoiced for any custom cakes (and other custom creations) ordered; failure to make payment will result in your order being cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please see the Terms & Conditions for the entire Store Payment policy.
3: PRIVACY POLICY
SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your broweser and operating system.
SECTION 2 - CONSENT
How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent? If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent fro us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at [email protected]
SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms and Conditions.
SECTION 4 - BIG CARTEL
Our store is hosted on Big Cartel. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Big Cartel's data storage and databases. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Howver, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us.
So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. As an example, if you are located in Australia and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation. Once you leave our store's website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by the Privacy Policy or our website's Terms and Conditions.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirments and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
SECTION 7 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continur to sell products to you.

4: TERMS & CONDITIONS (T&C's)
Bee House Cottage Kitchen (BHCK) can provide custom cakes for your event and will do our very best to work with you to create something beautiful within your budget.
All products made by us are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Ingredients/Allergens:
All cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or have contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, or other allergens. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform their guests of all allergy information, and accordingly, we will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake. All products are made to be consumed on the day of your celebration. We do not currently have the capacity to offer any gluten or lactose free products at this time.
Quotations:
All quotes are valid for up to 7 days from the date of issue. Validity time frame/date may decrease if shorter notice is given.
Orders:
We prefer at least 14 days' notice for all orders, as we are frequently booked in advance, however we will, where availability permits, try to accept short notice cakes.
Any products ordered using a picture/photo from another baker for inspiration can only be reproduced by us, as our interpretation of that product will NOT be an exact replication of the pictured product.
Deposits:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% will be required to secure your date once the basic size/design concepts of your cake are agreed upon. Your booking is NOT considered confirmed until the deposit has been received. Our preferred payment methods are all major credit/debit cards.
Failure to make payment of the required deposit within 48hrs of being invoiced will result in cancellation of your order.
Payments:
The balance of payment is due no later than 7 days prior to your event date, or 4 weeks in the case of wedding cakes.
Orders will not be completed without payment being received, and failure to complete payment by the due date may result in your order being cancelled.
If you experience any problems affecting your ability to pay for your cake, please notify us in writing immediately so we can work with you.
Cancellations/Changes/Postponements:
All cancellations/changes must be received in writing as soon as you are aware of a problem. In the event of postponement, the new date proposal will be subject to availability.
If the cancellation is up to one month prior to your event you will receive a refund, minus the non-refundable portion. Your refund may take up to 14 days to process.
If the cancellation is less than 7 days prior to your event there will be absolutely no refunds given, as part, or all, of your order will have been made by that time.
For any time in between the abovementioned times an offer of credit toward future purchases will be offered.
Minor changes to your cake design/flavour will be accepted after the deposit is received and up to 14 days prior to your event.
Other changes will be at the discretion of BHCK and subject to viability and quote review.
Unforseen Circumstances:
In the event we cannot fulfill your order, due to illness, injury, or other unforseen circumstance, your deposit will be returned to you within 7 days, and we will do our best to assist you in finding a suitable alternative cake maker to complete your order.
Damaged Cakes:
After your cake/order has been either delivered or collected by you, we take no responsibility for any damages that may occur to any part of your order while it is in your care, or the care of your chosen venue. This includes, but is not limited to, incorrect handling, transportation, or storage.
The correct care for your cake will be according to the instruction card provided to you or your representative.
Quality:
Should you be dissatisfied with the quality of your cake, please notify BHCK immediately, so we can arrange for the collection/inspection of your order. No negotiations will be entered into should you notify us of an issue after your cake has been consumed.
Image Use:
We at BHCK will, on most occasions, take photos/videos of your cake/order and reserve the right to use the images for advertising/marketing purposes.
We will however do our best to be mindful of the timing, to not spoil any surprises!
Pickup/Delivery/Setup/Prop Hire:
Delivery and setup are at the discretion of BHCK and will incur an additional fee.
BHCK allows a 10-minute window either side of the agreed upon pickup/delivery time. Should you fail to collect your order, or be at the specified delivery location, within that timeframe, then BHCK will retain your goods until a new time is negotiated. Please contact us at BHCK as soon as you become aware of any delays!
Various cake stands/props are available for hire and will always be deemed the property of BHCK. All prop items are provided for hire on the proviso of reasonable use and once in your care you assume all resposibility for the items until such time as they have been either collected by, or returned to, BHCK. Any damage/s sustained to the props whilst in your care will be paid for by you at an amount determined by BHCK, for either repair or replacement.
Mates Rates:
For Frenchville Sports Club Members, the 5% discount applies to baked goods only; all other products are excluded.
Vouchers:
Unexpired vouchers can only be redeemed. Voucher redemption is subject to current workload/orders, and we will advise you if we are not able to fulfill your order at the time of your purchase or enquiry. We will endeavour to make every effort to fulfill your order at the time requested, or as close to the time requested as we can reasonably manage.
Your Consent:
By placing your order and paying the non-refundable deposit, it is assumed you are agreeing to the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
