The Native Bees
The honey is sourced from only one particular species of stingless native bee called Tetragonula Hockingsi (TH) which is endemic to the Rockhampton region. Research has shown that the honey from this species contains a higher level of Trehalulose (rare sugar) when compared with other native bee species.

Trehalulose
Trehalulose is a unique sugar found in Australian native bee honey in significant quantities, found to be low on the glycaemic index and high in antioxidant & antimicrobrial properties. Many medicinal properties continue to be discovered....

The Product
Australian Native Bee Honey has a unique flavour profile which is enjoyed by many people the world over. Try it drizzled over ice-cream, or Camembert cheese and crackers for a flavour hit you will not forget! Each TH hive only produces up to approximately one kilogram of honey each year, making this honey a relatively scarce and highly valued commodity.
